Hi, I’m Lori Jo.

I believe we all inherit stories.

Some are rooted in love, resilience, and belonging. Others are shaped by trauma, loss, addiction, or relationships that taught us to survive instead of thrive. Whether we choose them or not, those stories shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us.

At Homestead Counseling, I believe healing begins by honoring where you've come from while creating space for who you're becoming. Like a homestead built over time, our lives reflect both what we've inherited and the choices we make today. Therapy isn't about erasing the past—it's about understanding it with compassion and building a life that supports the person you are now.

That's why I believe therapy should fit the person—not the other way around.

My Approach

My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. I specialize in working with adults healing from complex trauma, individuals in long-term recovery, and those navigating pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, and pregnancy loss. Together, we'll make sense of your experiences, recognize the strengths you've developed along the way, and create a path toward healing that reflects your unique story and goals.

I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

Welcome home.
